General Description:

Double Cone Blender is an efficient and versatile equipment for mixing of powder such as pharmaceutical excipients, various chemicals, food products homogeneously. With an effective volume for optimum homogeneity between 35-60% of gross volume.

• cGMP construction with cladded polished S. S. Sheets with S.S 316 Contact parts and 304 Non-Contact parts
• Conical shape and elongated plane at both ends enables uniform mixing and easy discharge
• The cone is statically balanced which protects the gear box and motor from any excessive load
• Powder is loaded into the cone through a wide opening and discharged through a butterfly or a Slide valve
• Paddle type baffles can be provided on the shaft for better mixing, uniform blending and de-agglomeration

The double cone blender consists of two cone shaped sections with 45? slope. The cone section is welded at their wide ends to a Centre band. The blender is mounted between two trunnions that permits the unit to tumble end over end. In operation, material is loaded to a fill level of 50 to 60% of the blender’s capacity. The blender tumbles and the material in the vessel spreads out.

• Suitable size of butter fly valve at one end of the cone provided for material discharge & hole with openable cover provided at other end of the cone for material charging & cleaning.
• One shaft with 04 nos. of fixed buffels with mirror polished provided inside the cone.
• Cone will be mirror polished from the inside & outside & structure will be matt polished.
• All moving parts covered with SS304 covers.
• Safety guards made from SS304 pipes provided in front of the m/c with limit switch.
• Panel fabricated from SS304 material with facility of three phase indication, D.O.L. starter, digital timer & Amp. Meter.
• As per customer requirement machine will be provided with left side drive or with right side drive.

Double Cone Blenders can be furnished with a PLC controlled, automated drum loading system- Optionally.

With one full revolution of the blender, the entire contents of a product container can be transferred into the blender and back into drums after mixing, in a dust-free operation.
